The owner of Gusto D'Italia came to us with a unit in Wood Green that had seen better days. The space was tired, the layout wasn't working, and it bore no resemblance to the authentic Italian restaurant experience he had in mind. He had a strong vision — he just needed a team who could execute it.
We started from scratch. Working alongside an architect who produced detailed drawings for the full transformation, we stripped the restaurant back to its shell and rebuilt it entirely. New flooring, new ceiling treatments, new electrics and lighting, full kitchen fit-out, bespoke joinery, tiling, plastering — every single element was part of the plan.
The brief called for a warm, intimate atmosphere with high-quality finishes throughout. Exposed brick details, Italian stonework-inspired surfaces, carefully considered lighting levels, and a kitchen built for a serious operation. Nothing was an afterthought.
The project ran over six months — a major undertaking that required careful coordination between our team, the architect, kitchen fit-out specialists, and the client himself, who was involved at every stage. We kept the site clean, the programme on track, and the communication open throughout.
The result is a restaurant that looks and feels exactly as the owner intended — a proper Italian dining room, built to last, that holds its own in a competitive London hospitality market.
